Kanji Using This Radical

Note: When used at the top of a kanji, this radical is called いりがしら or いりやね. The kanji 内 may look closer to 人, but it is traditionally classified under the 入 radical. This reflects its historical origin in the old form 內, which clearly shows 入 inside the enclosing shape. Because of this, dictionaries usually assign 内 to 入. However, some references classify it under 冂 (けいがまえ), based on the outer frame. Both views exist.
